How many of Trainspotting's cast are back for the sequel?

All of them!

Oof! How times flies! Last December I told you the sequel to Trainspotting was coming down the tracks. Here we are almost a year later and the trailer has arrived, the movie opens January 27th in the UK, February 2nd in the US. 

Called simply T2: Trainspotting is directed by Danny Boyle and written by John Hodge, based on the novel Porno and its characters created by Irvine Welsh. The film stars Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, and Robert Carlyle. T2 also features Kelly MacDonald who we loved in Boardwalk Empire and the new season of Black Mirror. 

In T2 we see the characters meet up 20 years later, and while Ewan McGregor delivers more of his Choose Life message, his world is devolving crazily around him. 

Hollywood is addicted to remakes, sequels, prequels, anything to capture the magic of the original hit. Too many times they make sequels for films that frankly just didn’t do all that well in the first place. T2 ain’t one of them.
