Will Tim Burton turn to 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' after 'Big Eyes'?

It's been just about two years since 20th Century Fox picked up the rights to Ransom Rigg's Miss Peregine's Home for Peculiar Children; read that first post here.
Fox found their writer fairly quickly with Deadline's Mike Fleming reporting back in December of 2011 that Jane Goldman, who co-wrote The Debt, Kick Ass, X Men First Class and Woman in Black.

At the time I wondered if that news would 'get Tim Burton off his rear and sign on already.'  Especially as Burton is author Ransom Riggs' first choice to helm. Goldman certainly doesn't look like your typical writer and Burton's not your typical filmmaker.

Clearly things have been progressing behind the scenes as the movie was assigned a release date of July 31, 2015. Not much else to report but we can assume only hope that since Burton is in the final stages of post-production of Big Eyes - the story of Margaret Keane (Amy Adams) the painter of those 'big-eye' paintings, he'll be turning to Miss Peregrine next.
Any thoughts?
