Saturday Snapshot Take me to the fair!

We went to the Orange County Fair this week. My favorite part of county fairs is looking at the winning entries. Whether it's a collection of nutcrackers, themed table settings, decorated cakes or cute critters, I'm a sucker for those ribbon winners.

The food is right up there too! I am ready to embark on a diet (see picture below) so I resisted the deep-fried snicker bars and the pie-eating contest but I did indulge in sausage and peppers on a roll plus a delish funnel cake which Mark and I split.

I am definitely a city gal but I love these trips back to what feels like a simpler place and time.
