Gone Girl: Behind the Scenes Chat with Director, Author and Cast (Video)


I've got a series of Sunday Slacker videos that feature David Fincher, Gillian Flynn and the cast of Gone Girl. I put it that way because even though that cast includes the very big names of Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Tyler Perry and Neil Patrick Harris along with Kim Dickens and Carrie Coon, the emphasis isn't on the stars; it's more of a love fest about Fincher and his approach to filmmaking; his famous multiple takes for instance. 

 The three videos are fun, fast and insightful - I couldn't help but notice Fincher and Affleck's little digs for example. And check out what Fincher says about casting Tyler Perry - another actor might have taken a bit of umbrage to the telling of that anecdote but Perry is pretty good humored about his own hubris.

 There's a wee bit of overlap so some of the material pops up in more than one video; thanks to Cinemax' for sharing them.
