Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong in First Man

There’s a lot of buzz about Ryan Gosling new buzz cut. Yep. I went there. The actor is in Atlanta shooting the Neil Armstrong biopic First Man. The film is directed by his LaLa Land helmer, Damian Chazelle and it’s based on the New York Times best selling book of the same name.

While Atlanta is in the South, the city gets cold this time of year. Apparently this shot was taken on a 28 degree day with Ryan having to hug a hot water bottle between takes.

This is the part where I say if I were thirty years younger I’d fly down and warm you up. Job done.

First Man also stars The Crown’s lovely Claire Foy as Armstrong’s wife so I suppose that’s actually her job. 

The cast includes Kyle Chandler, Lukas Haas, Cory Stoll, Jason Clarke, and John Bernthal. First Man is set for release next October.
